Nora Lozano joined the Preventive Health Collaborative Steering committee in June of 2014. She is a Promotora Education Specialist for Southwest Behavioral and Health Services. Her focuses are community education and outreach. She is building parental capacity through the Promotora Program which outreaches to Hispanic community in the South Phoenix area raising awareness and reducing the underage use and abuse of alcohol, marihuana and other substances. Nora holds a B.S. in International Commerce from the University of the Valley of Mexico. She is very aware of the challenges that the Hispanic community faces and is confident that her efforts to bring health inform and education to the Hispanic community will promote better health outcomes to his population.
